I didn't need to ask the Adobe folks. I fixed it on my own, and have let others know how to do so (i.e., temporarily trash all copies of your default browser if it's not Chromium). I call that a 'win' for everyone, except maybe Adobe. My own experience with Adobe is that their cycles for resolving reported problems are slow, when they engage at all.
